Teeth Trimming

Trimming your rabbit's teeth is something that needs to be done by a veterinarian, as one wrong move could cause a huge amount of pain and damage to your rabbit's teeth. Not all rabbits need to have thier teeth trimmed- actually, if your rabbit is eating a healthy amount of grass hays and has plenty of toys, tooth trimming shouldn't be an issue at all, but since a rabbit's teeth never stop growing, a lack of these toys
This is one of the many reasons chew toys and grass hays are so important for rabbits. Going too long without chewing or eating hay can cause serious dental problems for rabbits, especially overgrowth in teeth.

This is an example of a rabbit who was not provided with the proper amount of hay or chew toys. He also went way too long without having his teeth trimmed by the vet. If a rabbit's teeth get too long, it keeps them from being able to eat properly and can eventually lead to starvation. If your rabbit's teeth grow too long, it is important to know that they must be taken to see a vet right away.
